Samsung Sponsors This Year’s Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific Championship

Samsung Gulf Electronics today announced its involvement in the upcoming Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific (WAAP) championship, with the brand confirmed as a category sponsor whose mission is to support young female golfing talent on this unique international stage. The championship’s third edition, which is being hosted in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), will take place from 10-13 November at Abu Dhabi Golf Club as the world’s best amateur players compete for places in some of the sport’s biggest major and invitational competitions. Samsung’s participation aligns with its long-standing commitment to encourage diversity, promote sports, and showcase the value and importance of influential industries key to societal inclusion, happiness, and development.

Shafi Alam, Head of Corporate Marketing, Samsung Gulf Electronics, said: “Samsung has a proud history of supporting major events across sectors, including those in the world of sport that have made their way to the region. As such, the opportunity to honor this tradition once again as a WAAP championship sponsor was intriguing and exciting. Technology today plays a key role in the success of such events, and we look forward to sponsoring this year’s event and helping ensure it is fondly remembered by players, officials, and audiences alike.”

As an event sponsor, Samsung will further enhance experiences throughout the championship’s duration with Galaxy Z Series devices exclusively on display. Samsung experts will be on hand as players and officials become familiar with Galaxy Z Series smartphones in a designated area, with a golf game specially installed on the Galaxy Z Flip3 to highlight Flex Mode feature capabilities and bring even more fun to the sport via mobile gaming. Furthermore, other on-ground activities involving different product will also take place.
