Seychelles Tourism Board Hosts FAM Trip For Top Selling Agents Of Emirates Holidays
Top achieving travel agents across Dubai were given the opportunity to experience Seychelles and enjoy some of the destination’s top hotels and offerings as the Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) office in Dubai, in cooperation with Emirates Holidays, organized a 5-day familiarization (FAM) trip.
Prior to the FAM trip, Emirates Holidays ran a campaign among their agents – the top sellers of Seychelles will get the chance to win a place on a FAM trip to the destination. Comparing to the previous year, market performance in the GCC has seen positive increases, the UAE to 22%, Kuwait to 14%, and Saudi Arabia to 18%.
The FAM trip, not only provided experience, but as well as inspiration to the agents to further promote the destination and equip them with adequate knowledge about Seychelles, as preparation for the holiday season. They were also able to take part and indulge in activities like zip lining, taking a tour at the capital to visit the Hindu Temple, Victoria Market, Esplanade Craft Kiosk, and many more.
Of the recent successful FAM trip, Ahmed Fathallah, Account Manager of STB Office in Dubai, said “The group thoroughly enjoyed the activities prepared for them by the STB team. The success of the FAM Trip between the STB Office in Dubai and Emirates Holidays was a great way for these agents to be educated about the destination.”
The STB Account Manager in Dubai mentioned that the participants were delighted to have had first-hand experience of the destination. “The entire experience enhanced their knowledge to better promote and sell the destination and they can impart their personal experience to their clients, which can help them entice travelers to visit the beautiful Seychelles. We will definitely be working on having more FAM Trips in the future as incentive to the hardest working agents. These FAM Trips serves not only as a motivation but as well as an educational experience to provide edge and added knowledge about the destination.” added Fathallah.
The group was gladly welcomed by different hotels in Seychelles such as Constance Ephelia, Four Seasons Resort, Constance Lemuria, Hilton Northolme Resort, Raffles Seychelles, Kempinski Resort Seychelles, Banyan Tree Resort, and AVANI Resort where they were able to familiarize themselves to the properties’ product offerings.
